In June 2025, a power purchase agreement valued at 8.3 billion US dollars was signed, which will add 15,000 megawatts of renewable energy installed capacity. As of September 2025, the total value of signed projects in the Saudi power sector had reached 15.9 billion US dollars, with another 10.4 billion US dollars’ worth of projects in the bidding stage and 162 billion US dollars’ worth of projects under tender. Grid upgrading and grid connection of new energy have become the two core pillars of market development.
