Trafindo was established in 1981 and is the first and largest manufacturer of distribution transformers and related distribution products in Indonesia; it is also the biggest supplier that supports the development of amorphous transformers for the Indonesian national grid PLN.

Three subsidiaries: pt.trafoindo prima perkasa (producing distribution transformers, CT VT), with more than 1000 employees; pt.trafoindo power indonesia (producing oil tanks and other accessories); pt. powerindo prima perkasa (producing power transformers).
